The Trotskyite Who Rules Spanish Soccer

BT's Fundamental Value Is Overlooked
BT Group BT is the incumbent telecom operator in the United Kingdom. In 2016, it bought EE, the country's largest wireless telecom operator, creating the only company that owns fixed-line as well as wireless telephone networks in the U.K. The U.K. has been slow to move to converged services, but we believe this acquisition will lead BT to push convergence similar to leading operators in several other European countries. BT's scale as the U.K.'s largest fixed-line, broadband, and wireless telecom operator provides the company with a narrow economic moat due to cost advantages.

Telefonica goes back to basics in Spain with O2 brand
Spain's Telefonica said on Tuesday it would start selling low-cost phone and internet services in its key domestic market, in a shift away from its recent focus on pricy premium packages. Telefonica will launch the O2 brand it sells in Britain in September in Spain, where it makes a third of its core earnings but was hit by the euro zone's economic crisis. Fierce competition on its Movistar brand from cheaper rivals MasMovil and Orange's Jazztel has squeezed domestic market share for Telefonica, Spain's fifth-biggest company.

Random member testimonial: "This last year I have subscribed to two investment services, ValueForum and a well known income newsletter. ValueForum costs a little over 200 per year. The income newsletter costs about 400 per year. I am up 11% on investments made because I heard about them on ValueForum (of course, I do my own research on everything but the ideas came from ValueForum and there was always some discussion of the pros and cons of each investment on VF). I am down 8% on investments made because I heard about them from the income newsletter. I might also add that I often hear about breaking events immediately on ValueForum and a day or two later the same information is finally available from the newsletter. Hmmm...... which service is the better value?" more testimonials »
